Display Dimensions
When considering hiring our display, please remember that we require a lot of space. The Spitfire footprint is approximately 37 feet wide and 32 feet long. The supporting exhibition trailer is 17 feet long and with staging opens up to 17 feet wide. Event organisers also need to remember the access issues for the team. The combined length of both display trailers and towing vehicles is 42 feet in length with a similar turning circle to a pantechnicon. We also need a minimum clearance height of 16 feet for both trailers.
To increase the opportunity for quality photographs, it is also advised that the aircraft is positioned away from buildings and trees.
To provide you with an idea of the footprint of the Spitfire alone, please refer to the diagram below. Please note that once the display has been set up we require enough room to park the Spitfire trailer and towing vehicles close by.
